Description
This session will provide an overview of the most up-to-date guidelines and antimicrobial stewardship principles as they apply to diagnosis and management of community-acquired, healthcare-associated, and ventilator-associated pneumonia. Participants will learn how to improve diagnostic accuracy, optimize empiric therapy, de-escalate and shorten antibiotic duration as appropriate, and understand the literature behind current guidelines.
