Building a New Framework for Equity in Hospital Medicine: Addressing Structural Issues and Changing Culture

April 21, 2021

Diversity, equity and inclusion conversations and topics are on top of mind for all organizations.  Leaders need to know how to integrate this into their skills.  This session will lead them in how to re-look at the way in which they lead and mentorship with a focus on allyship as an important leadership skill.

During times of crisis, your network becomes even more vital. Successful leaders learn to build a network of mentors, sponsors and allies who will provide support, feedback, stability, and opportunities. This is particularly important for women and underrepresented minorities in medicine. Allyship in particular is critically important to changing culture and to support a diverse faculty.
