Karan Desai, MD, MPH, is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology within the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Assistant Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Dr. Desai did his internal medicine residency and chief year at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and Cardiology Fellowship at University of Maryland Medical Center.

Jonathan Hansen, M.D., M.B.A., is the clinical director and vice-chair of the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Emergency Department. He is an assistant professor of emergency medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Hansen earned a medical degree in 2001 from Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and then completed his residency in the emergency department at the University of Maryland Medical Center. In 2004, Dr. Hansen joined MedStar Emergency Physicians at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, where he served as department chair for seven years. From 2013 to 2018, and then again in 2021, Baltimore magazine named Dr. Hansen a “top doctor” in emergency medicine.
